Numotion Foundation Supports Sportable

For two decades, Sportable has been creating opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and those requiring physical accommodations to experience the power of sport. In the first ten months of 2025 alone, Sportable has empowered 429 unique athletes to participate in more than 20 adaptive sports, recreation, and wellness programs, along with tournaments, camps, clinics, and competitions.

Based in Central Virginia, Sportable’s primary programming takes place in the City of Richmond, Chesterfield County, and Henrico County. In 2024, the organization hosted programming at 35 unique locations across the region and served participants from 46 counties throughout Virginia. While most athletes come from Central Virginia, many travel from across the state to access adaptive programming offered at the scale and frequency Sportable provides.

Celebrating 20 Years of Adaptive Impact

In celebration of its 20th anniversary as a nonprofit organization, Sportable hosted Sportaball: 20 Years of Adaptive Impact — a special event honoring its history and building momentum for the future. The Numotion Foundation proudly sponsored this milestone event, with proceeds contributing to Sportable’s overall operating budget. These funds directly support more than 20 adaptive programs, as well as competitions, camps, clinics, staffing, and ongoing operations.

With over 20 ongoing adaptive sports and wellness programs, multiple competitions, camps, clinics and more, the Numotion Foundation’s support allows us to continue pushing the envelope forward towards providing high quality experiences to the communities we serve,” explained Forrest Lodge, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Sportable.

As Sportable celebrates 20 years of impact, partnerships like this ensure that athletes across Virginia continue to find access, opportunity, and belonging through adaptive sport: today and for years to come.
