The Numotion Foundation was proud to support the Oklahoma Adaptive Sports Association (OKASA), a nonprofit dedicated to providing individuals with physical disabilities the chance to participate in competitive and recreational sports. Through its programs, OKASA empowers athletes to build confidence, improve health, and experience the joy of teamwork and competition.

Creating Opportunities for Adaptive Sports in Oklahoma

Serving 30 to 40 athletes across Oklahoma, OKASA plays a vital role in creating inclusive spaces where athletes can thrive. From wheelchair basketball to track and field, each program provides opportunities for personal growth and community connection.

Thanks to funding from the Numotion Foundation, OKASA was able to cover essential equipment costs, ensuring athletes have the tools they need to train, compete, and succeed. For many participants, access to proper adaptive sports equipment is the difference between watching from the sidelines and being fully engaged in the game.

“Having proper equipment gives our athletes a chance to be successful in sport,” said Cathryn Tamney of the Oklahoma Adaptive Sports Association.

Together, OKASA and the Numotion Foundation are opening doors to new possibilities for athletes with disabilities, proving that with the right support, barriers can be replaced with opportunities for achievement, inclusion, and success.
