The Numotion Foundation recently provided its first ever contribution to the Friends Foundation of the Carolinas, a nonprofit based in North Carolina serving the greater Charlotte area.
Sydney Dewey, Media Relations Manager for the Friends Foundation of the Carolinas provided the following impact statement:
“The Friends Foundation (formerly known as The Ronnie Sherrill Project) was established in 2022 with the mission of creating and maintaining a community support system to help enhance the life experience of those living with neuromuscular disease. Serving 13 counties within the Greater Charlotte area, the Friends Foundation is able to provide life changing experiences for people living with neuromuscular disease and their families.
With the financial support and dedication to the Friends Foundation mission from the Numotion Foundation, throughout the year, the Friends Foundation is able to hold events, provide accessibility solutions, and send families to a weekend camp at Victory Junction! Last year, Friends Foundation held 5 events, including a luncheon at Quail Hollow Country Club, Camp Day, a night at the Charlotte Knights Baseball Game, Trivia luncheon, and a Holiday dinner at the Charlotte Motor Speedway topping off the night with a ride through the light show!
In 2023, Friends Foundation awarded 8 families with a wheelchair accessible van grant, a grant for a stair lift, and a grant for a wheelchair locking system. The success in delivering the Friends Foundation mission is dependent upon supporters like the Numotion Foundation. Thank you Numotion Foundation for your support to the Friends Foundation in helping enhance the life experience of those living with neuromuscular disease and ALS!”
