In July 2022, the Numotion Foundation provided sponsorship to support the Children’s Hospital Colorado Courage Classic Bicycle Tour, and the Adaptive Recreation for Childhood Health (ARCH) program.
The ARCH program is a part of the Rehabilitation and Therapy Service Line at Children’s Hospital Colorado. ARCH provides year-round recreational resources and programs for kids and young adults living with a variety of physical and medical conditions including cancer, amputations, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, head and spinal cord injuries, and other orthopedic conditions.
By focusing on individual abilities, this program seeks to help kids develop skills that lead to a lifetime of healthy leisure and awareness while also helping participants find confidence and freedom through sports and outdoor recreation. Between winter skiing/snowboarding and summer programming, nearly 100 kids participate in ARCH each year. ARCH also serves as a resource for parents looking for additional recreational programs in the community.
This sponsorship from the Numotion Foundation allows ARCH to purchase new adaptive sports equipment and provide financial assistance as needed to keep costs to participants at a minimum.
