The Numotion Foundation recently partnered with the Texas Ramp Project to build six mobility access ramps in Dallas and the surrounding area. Recognizing the tremendous impact a ramp can have on an individual’s ability to access his or her community, receive healthcare, and spend time with family and friends, the Numotion Foundation has provided support to the Texas Ramp Project since our inception in 2018.
Texas Ramp Project Board of Directors member, Gary Stopani stated, “We are continually reminded of the urgent need for wheelchair ramps for elderly and disabled people who cannot afford them. TRP ramps not only provide safe access to our client’s homes, but also provide a sense of independence and freedom.”
As stated in the organization’s Mission Statement, “The Texas Ramp Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free wheelchair ramps to low-income older adults and people with disabilities identified by local health care providers. Ramps are built exclusively with volunteer labor, keeping costs to a minimum. Ramps are built without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, age, or gender.”
