Craig Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament 2021

Numotion Foundation partners with Craig Hospital Foundation

The Numotion Foundation recently partnered with the Craig Hospital Foundation to support the 24th annual Craig Hospital/RE/MAX, LLC Golf Tournament on August 11, 2021.

The event raised more than $250,000 for Craig Hospital, a leading not-for-profit top 10 rehabilitation and research hospital that specializes in spinal cord and brain injury.

Through the Numotion Foundation’s support, four Craig Hospital staff members were able to participate in the tournament, including a physical therapist, occupational therapy assistant, nurse, and military support specialist.

“The money raised from this event provides so many services and equipment for our patients which are not covered by insurance and this is something we all deeply appreciate. We want the best for our patients and we are so fortunate to have these funds to get them what they need,” said Adele Stalder, assistant physical therapy supervisor. “Thank you, Numotion, for sponsoring our foursome and for your generosity to the patients of Craig Hospital.”

Funds raised at the golf tournament will help patients like 17-year-old Grayson. In early December, Grayson was paralyzed when the car he was riding in hit a patch of black ice and rolled over. After surgery and a stay in the ICU, he began the long journey of rehabilitation. At Craig, Grayson joined the Teen Rehab at Craig program, an adolescent-focused program that provides the opportunity for teen patients to interact and empower one another. Craig’s teacher customized an academic program to help him earn school credit in English, Trigonometry, and World History courses while he participated in his other rehab activities. The School Program teacher also met with his high school administrators to develop a comprehensive School Transition Plan that ensured Grayson’s return to school was as seamless as possible.

Grayson is now back to driving and participating in sports like wheelchair lacrosse and tennis – thanks to Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive Transportation. He just began his senior year, and is on track to graduate with his class in May.

“We are so grateful for the Numotion Foundation’s support of Craig Hospital,” said Serena Bruzgo, Craig Foundation president. “Because of our generous supporters, patients like Grayson are empowered to live full and independent lives.”
