For Fifth Consecutive Year, Numotion Foundation Continues Support of Fractured Atlas & the Opulent Mobility Project

For the fifth consecutive year, the Numotion Foundation continued its support of Fractured Atlas and the Opulent Mobility Project.

Detailing the Numotion Foundation’s impact on the most recent year’s exhibit, A. Laura Brody provided the following impact story:

“Thanks to the Numotion Foundation, Opulent Mobility continued to uplift, celebrate, and support disabled artists! This international annual exhibit asks artists to re-imagine disability as opulent and powerful. It imagines a world where disability is celebrated instead of denied, ignored, and feared. The exhibits are curated by founder A. Laura Brody and disability arts activist and photographer Anthony Tusler.

Opulent Mobility 2024 was held at the Los Angeles Makery in December 2024, featuring artists from across the United States and as far away as Belgium, New Zealand, Spain, and the United Kingdom. In addition, Opulent Mobility was invited to hold a retrospective exhibit through USC’s Visions and Voices programming.

With the help of the Numotion Foundation, artists shared digital files from all over and could have them printed and framed locally. This simple step makes it easier and accessible for disabled artists to share their work and to gain recognition in the fine arts world. We were also able to assist artists who did ship their work by covering half of the mailing costs. Funding also supported American Sign Language interpretation for the artist talk and art descriptions for our Blind and low vision audiences.

We so appreciate your continued support!”
